Discover 29 Latest Cards from Magic: The Gathering's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Expansion (Featuring a Commander-Style Precon Deck!)

Everyone's beloved pizza-eating superheroes are arriving to Magic: The Gathering. The popular trading card game's company, the game's creators, revealed a highly anticipated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration during a exclusive event hosted at NYCC. Is this a radical addition or simply another crossover cash grab? Let you be the judge.

Take a look below at everything announced from the Magic x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, along with some useful background. Everything listed below releases on March 6th, 2026, except for one item — a special Pizza Bundle drops a couple of weeks after on March 27th.

Magic x TMNT: Main Set Cards

Before diving into the many unique products and collections on offer, we’ll examine at the full lineup from the main Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion that were revealed by the developers. Play boosters for the expansion are priced at $6.99 each, while premium boosters should run $37.99 per pack.

Let’s explore a couple of shell-shocking features. To begin, a new gameplay mechanic named Sneak, which is a riff on the already established Ninjutsu, where players can cheat big creatures into the game field whenever an attacker goes unblocked. The big difference in this case is that this new ability can affect non-creature spells too. Wizards also used this chance to clean up the ability a bit (Sneak is treated as playing a spell, as opposed to Ninjutsu). The original ability isn't going away, but it's more likely we'll see Sneak in future sets from now on.

Should we were to return to Kamigawa, we might use the original ability because that's where it originated and it’s a hallmark of that world,” an experienced game designer explained. “But in other settings, because the mechanics are smoother and the new ability will be Standard-legal, it’s probable we’ll use the updated version.”

Another version of Leonardo, Sewer Samurai card, is one of four special cards with unique artwork created specifically for the set by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman.

Additionally, if you're shocked by the card text on Turtles Forever card, which allows playing game cards outside of your main deck, so was I. But as per the developers, it’s now a official card in all formats of Magic.

In any case, below are the extremely bizarre land cards with full art from this set:

As per the company’s current policy, all these cards are fully legal in Magic’s Standard format. Developers state they took care to make sure the new cards and gameplay elements meshed well with current Standard expansions like Edge of Eternities.

“I led the design for over a year and we were aware it would be Standard-legal and what other sets were going to be near it in Standard,” the designer commented. “Our goal was to make sure that they work well with some of those sets like Edge of Eternities.”

For example, both TMNT and Edge of Eternities include a blue-red strategy focused on artifact cards.

“They combine to offer the pieces for a fun Standard-legal deck,” the designer added.

Preconstructed Commander: Turtle Power

Following a decision to design any pre-constructed Commander decks for Spider-Man and the forthcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender expansions, the company is changing direction with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This time it’s just a single precon, but it includes six different legendary cards that can serve as your commander based on how you pair them (five cards have a special Partner mechanic called “Character Select” that lets you start with two commanders in the command zone rather than only one). Check them out for yourself:

The Turtle Power precon is priced at $69.99, although the price may rise based on popularity. Wizards told that it includes 43 new cards in total, which means an additional 37 Turtle-themed cards in addition to the six legendary commanders pictured above. (Doing some rough math, this suggests approximately 20 reprinted cards if we estimate the precon comes with 37 land cards.)

How will the TMNT version of Sol Ring appear? We’ll just have to wait and find out.

Standard Bundle (Regular)

As per usual, the company is offering a collection. It costs $69.99 and contains the following:

  • 9 Play Boosters
  • Fifteen Foil basic lands
  • Fifteen Regular basic lands
  • 2 helper cards
  • 1 Traditional foil promotional card
  • 1 Large spindown life counter
  • One Card-storage box

Pizza-Themed Bundle

This is a special idea for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, primarily because it is packaged in a box resembling a pizza box. Each Pizza Bundle is priced at $99.99 and includes the items below:

  • 9 Play Boosters
  • 1 Collector Booster
  • 25 Regular pizza lands
  • 5 Foil pizza basic lands
  • 2 Foil Pizza Bundle promo cards
  • Two helper cards
  • 1 Oversized life tracker
  • 1 Card-storage box

For those curious about the “pizza bundle promo” means, it’s basically a reprinted older card with all-new Turtle-themed artwork. Wizards revealed an example for the popular Magic card Dark Ritual featuring art of Splinter sprinkling black licorice pieces on a pizza slice. There are six distinct pizza promos in total.

This special bundle releases a couple of weeks later than the core set on March 27, 2026.

Draft Night

This unique product is made for a four-person draft and costs $119.99. That will get you:

  • Twelve Standard Boosters (ideal for four people to draft)
  • One Collector Booster (aka, the prize for coming in first)
  • 90 Regular land cards (for building your draft deck)
  • 10 Non-foil double-sided tokens
  • One Draft insert (a single-page instruction sheet to drafting the set)

Cooperative Play Set

Finally, Wizards are introducing a new concept with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as part of its ongoing effort to develop Magic game products specifically for beginners. Here, the cooperative set is a special set of decks that allow two players join forces against a “Boss” deck that plays automatically.

The general idea here that each Boss card grants special abilities to the creature cards included in the boss deck. Each Boss automatically plays an additional card each turn, and you’ll start off battling {one Boss|
